Where to Get PrEP in NYC
PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) reduces the risk of getting HIV from sex by about 99% when used as prescribed. It's available in NYC as a daily pill or as long-acting injections every 2 or 6 months.
PrEP is free for eligible NYC residents through the PrEP Assistance Program (PrEP-AP) — regardless of insurance or immigration status.
You need an HIV test before starting, and follow-up visits every 2–3 months.
